12 Tips to Increase your Phone’s Battery Life

Is your phone battery draining very fast? Not able to find a solution for it? Well this article will guide you about steps that can be taken to avoid fast draining and smooth running of your phone in very simple steps.

Don’t frequently charge your battery after consuming just few amount of your battery. It only shortens your battery life. Nickel-Based battery life reduces each time when you recharge it.

Charge your Smartphone’s battery when it is about to finish and let it charge until it charged completely.

Vibrations helps you a lot in getting notified silently when someone text you or calls you but actually, Vibrations uses a lot of Battery then the normal ringtones. Use Vibrations at the instants when it is necessarily needed or at least switch to low magnitude vibrations.

If you are using Android, iOS, Nokia Symbian Smartphones than you can search Android Market, Apple Store or Google for any powerful Battery Optimizer app. It will scan your settings and recommend you the most optimized settings to save maximum battery.


4. Dim Your Screen

As, while using Smartphones, Screen always glows and if it glow much brighter then it will surely utilize more battery. So, it is a clever idea to dim the smartphone’s brightness and contrast so that they will use relatively less power.


5. Prefer Making Calls

6. Minimize Screen Timeout

Screen Timeout is the time for which your cellphones’ screen will remain lit after you finish interaction with it. Obviously, minimizing screen timeout will help you to save Battery power.

7. Web Browsing

Browsing Internet from Smartphones takes more power. So, if it is not necessary, don’t use Internet.

Also, it you are surfing Internet with lightning fast 3G connection then slow down to 2.5G network as not all of your Apps needs 3G connection and 3G connection uses much resources and power.


8. Turn Off Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G Networks

These all cellular networks drains lots of power from your phone’s battery so don’t remain it ON unnecessarily. Turn them OFF. Even, Infrared connections also uses much power so, turn it OFF too.

9. Monitor Your Applications

Use Apps in smartphones that can monitor all running apps and services of your smartphones, even the background apps too. Monitoring them all can be helpful as you can close unnecessary Apps and Services which are using your Battery Power for nothing.


10. Disable GPS

If your smartphone is having GPS Tracking system then many applications are using it to track your location. Like Google Maps to track your location, path, etc, Search Engines to provide you personalized and localized results.


And directly connecting to satellite to send and receive signals uses very high amount of power. So, if you can live without them, turn GPS OFF.

11.Minimize Notifications

Notifications are very comfortable to notify you about changes, updates from your social networks like Facebook, Twitter, RSS Feeds etc. But for these services, Smartphone need to connect and send/receive data all the time. So turn them OFF to save more power.

12. Buy Power Bank

If your Smartphones battery life is about to end and you still need to do an important call or else then ultimately you can buy an emergency power supply.

Emergency Power Supplies are available at almost all the online stores for a cheap price. Make sure you buy genuine products,Chinese power banks cost cheaper but they don’t last long. So i would suggest to go for a good brand power bank even though it may cost you few bucks more.
